Located between Yakima and Ellensburg, Washington, east of the Cascade range in the center of Washington state, the 15-mile Yakima River Canyon is one of the country’s most scenic and diverse natural areas. Canyon River Ranch is located 13 miles south of Ellensburg along SR 821, a designated Scenic Corridor. Less than a two-hour drive from Seattle, the area is known for not only its natural beauty, but for the range of activities it provides, from wine tasting to river rafting.
Canyon River Ranch sits along Washington State’s only catch-and-release Blue Ribbon trout stream, a year-round fishery for wild rainbow trout. The canyon is also home to deer, elk, bighorn sheep, quail, and chukar partridge. Hiking, boating, jet-skiing, river rafting, golf, skiing and Washington’s wine country are all easily accessible.
